Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President & Chief Financial Officer to join our Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of corporate programs and services, as well as providing strategic direction and oversight to the Senior Leadership team and the Board of Governors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
  • Exercise broad administrative responsibilities to provide direction and coordination of corporate and financial services and assigned support/clinical support services
  • Assume responsibility for the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system of internal controls, which provides assurance that operations are effective and efficient, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure corporate and financial services are aligned with and in support of BGH's mission, vision, and strategic plan
  • Ensure that quality assurance systems are in place across the corporation for the delivery of the highest standards of financial management and control; oversee the budgeting and audit processes and ensure that financial statements are prepared in accordance with all applicable standards and requirements
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain cooperative relationships with community and regional partners, applicable government ministries, Ontario Health East staff and is responsible for closely monitoring compliance with provincial and federal financial regulatory requirements
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a degree in Commerce, Administration, or a related field (Masters of Business Administration preferred) and professional accounting designation (CPA) and 5 to 7 years of progressive senior management experience overseeing finance and administrative services in the Ontario hospital sector.
