About the Role

Carewest Innovative Healthcare is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team in the Enhanced Regional Community Transition Program (ERCTP). This short-stay restorative care program supports medically stable adults who require additional assessment, recuperation, and therapy before returning to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ambulatory client care through focused assessment, treatment, and discharge planning in an outpatient multidisciplinary setting.
  • Contribute to the client's quality of life and maintenance of independence in their home environment through the provisions of appropriate interventions to maximize safety and functional independence.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assess and address the physical and functional needs of clients, including mobility, balance, and strength.
  • Develop and implement exercise programs to improve client mobility and function.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Physical Therapy.
  • Registration with the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta is required.
  • AADL authorizer is an asset.
  • Experience using physiotherapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting is an asset.
