Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a secondary school graduation certificate. Experience in the field is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust, repair, or replace components of commercial transport truck systems.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Perform repairs on automotive systems and truck-trailer systems.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Estimate costs for parts and labor to carry out vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance services and provide detailed reports on work performed.
  • Advise clients on services rendered and future maintenance needs.
  • Mentor and coach apprentices in the workshop.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
Certifications and Licenses

Applicants should hold the following certifications:

  • Tire, Wheel, and Rim Mechanic Certification
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement
  • Valid Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work independently in a detail-oriented and fast-paced environment. Candidates must possess their own tools and safety equipment, including steel-toed safety boots.
