We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Labourer to join our team at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. As a Grounds Maintenance Labourer, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and ensuring the cemetery is well-manicured and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns to ensure they are well-manicured.
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep the grounds clean and free of debris.
  • Remove litter and garbage to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed to repair damaged areas.
  • Dig cemetery graves with care and precision.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens to ensure they are healthy and thriving.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in French is required.
Working Conditions:

This is a temporary position with a variable schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
