Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Owl Pub Liquor Store. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our dishes are washed and sanitized, and supporting our culinary team in preparing meals.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry and replace linen, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, carts, and waste disposal units
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, maintaining a tidy and organized workspace
  • Load buspans and trays, preparing them for use in the kitchen
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, ensuring they are sanitized and ready for use
  • Place dishes in storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Scour pots and pans, ensuring they are clean and free of food residue
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, maintaining a well-stocked and organized kitchen
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, supporting our culinary team
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Handle and store cleaning products, ensuring they are safely stored and easily accessible
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
  • Sharpen kitchen knives, ensuring they are sharp and ready for use
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, supporting our culinary team
