About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at J-Man Electric. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting our electricians and construction staff with various tasks on our job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by loading, unloading, and transporting materials as needed.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Help erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Assistance with Construction Tasks: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs under the guidance of our experienced construction staff.
  • Earthwork and Demolition: Assist in leveling earth to fine grade specifications and help with demolishing buildings as needed.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work to ensure our job sites are safe and well-maintained.
  • Site Safety: Assist in removing rubble and other debris at construction sites and direct traffic at or near construction sites as required.
Requirements
  • Work Term: Permanent position with 35 hours of work per week.
  • Work Language: English.
