About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Analyst to join our team at MYCANADAPAYDAY. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our computer databases to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Development: Develop and maintain computer databases to store and manage large amounts of data.
  • Requirements Documentation: Document customers' requirements for projects to ensure accurate data collection and management.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding database management tools and best practices.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Test data models and database management systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Database Design: Design and develop databases to meet business needs and ensure data security.
  • Data Analysis: Operate database management systems to analyze data and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Data Administration: Develop and implement data administration policy, standards, and models to ensure data quality and security.
  • Research and Documentation: Research and document data requirements, data collection and administration policy, and data access rules to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in database development and management.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Database Software: Proficient in database software such as MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Data Analysis Software: Proficient in data analysis software such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • SQL: Proficient in SQL and able to write complex queries.
