Job SummaryWe are seeking a Labourer to join our team at Terus Construction, a subsidiary of Colas Western Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general laborer duties associated with road construction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general laborer duties associated with road construction, including shoveling, raking, and handling small tools.
- Operate equipment as needed, including heavy machinery and power tools.
- Assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent required.
- Previous experience on a road construction crew is an asset.
- Ability to work in an outdoor setting, including inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
- Ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
