This is a challenging role that requires a seasoned professional to lead and oversee validation projects related to Balance Sheet and Liquidity Risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management and model validation, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to team members in model validation activities, ensuring that frameworks and policies meet regulatory requirements and align with industry best practices.
- Perform timely and effective validation of models for Balance Sheet and Liquidity Risk, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and implement testing models to assess model methodologies and performance, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Review model methodologies and interpret model outputs, identifying trends and patterns that inform business decisions.
- Prepare and review comprehensive reports that document validation findings and recommendations, ensuring that they are clear, concise, and actionable.
- Engage with stakeholders to proactively identify and manage model-related concerns, ensuring that validation findings and recommendations are informed by business purpose.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure that validation findings and recommendations are aligned with business objectives.
- Create work plans and track progress to ensure that work is completed in accordance with committed timelines, ensuring that deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments on model risk management, applying this knowledge to inform business decisions and improve model validation practices.
Requirements
- Strong background in risk management and model validation, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proven track record of leading and overseeing validation projects, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends and patterns.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders and manage model-related concerns.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
