Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment, and education to patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing needs
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on communication and swallowing strategies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech Pathology
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba
  • Eligible for membership with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email/outlook
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position working in a hospital setting. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
