About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support our rapid growth. As a Senior Accountant at Passage, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage our accounts payable and receivable processes with precision and care, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date financial records, ensuring accuracy across all entries and reconciliations.
  • Execute payment transactions, maintain strong relationships with payment processors, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Contribute to our lending and financing activities by ensuring all processes are in line with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports that provide critical insights into our financial health and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to optimize our financial operations.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial expertise and support company-wide projects.
  • Stay on top of changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring our financial practices are always compliant.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, from med-large firm or in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
  • A strong focus on accuracy and a methodical approach to financial tasks.
  • Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement changes efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to managing tasks and a high level of personal accountability.
