About the Acceleration Consortium:
The AC is a collaborative network that integrates academia, industry, and government, harnessing cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and materials science to develop self-driving laboratories (SDLs). These SDLs are designed to expedite the discovery of materials and molecules essential for addressing global challenges, including sustainability and health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of AI-driven autonomous discovery processes.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of experts to enhance the capabilities of SDLs.
- Oversee the design and implementation of research programs aligned with the AC's strategic objectives.
- Manage laboratory operations, including budget oversight and equipment procurement.
- Supervise and mentor research staff, including Scientists and Engineers.
- Engage with industry partners to facilitate research collaborations and project execution.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, life sciences, physics, engineering, robotics, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in research and development, with a proven track record in managing complex projects.
- Expertise in AI and automation technologies.
- Strong publication record and experience presenting research findings at conferences.
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written formats.
