About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading Canadian facility maintenance company, providing a range of services to large retail and commercial businesses nationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to internal teams on legal, compliance, and administrative matters.
  • Advise management on legal and contractual concerns and issues.
  • Contribute to regional projects that influence strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support business needs.
  • Coach internal stakeholders on regulatory and compliance matters and policies and procedures.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all aspects of business operations.
  • Coordinate legal issues to comply with government and company policies and regulations.
  • Lead investigations to discover facts and law of cases.
  • Dispute resolution and liaison between disputing parties.
  • Interact with external lawyers regarding legal issues.
  • Maintain all document and court files.
  • Attend small claims court and mediation conferences.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on CNESST policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in Legal or a related field.
