About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Procurement Specialist to join our team at CO_65 Bird Industrial Management Services Ltd. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of technical procurement processes and a proven ability to negotiate with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement process for mechanical goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to achieve cost savings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and supplier capabilities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services, resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and scope of work documents.
  • Participate in supplier performance reviews and provide feedback to improve supplier relationships.
Requirements
  • SCMP designation or registered in the SCMP program would be an asset, and/or
  • Professional Engineer in the technical field, or
  • Journeyman tradesman with 10+ years of experience, or
  • 5+ years experience working for a major mechanical distribution company
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
  • Technically, commercially, and financially aware.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
