We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-construction: Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
- On-site Work: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless finish.
- Project Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, survey building locations and levels, and instruct apprentices to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Quality Control: Supervise other workers, estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
As a Carpenter at Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work at heights, and be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant experience is essential.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry is required.
- Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as handling heavy loads.
- Competitive Salary: As per collective agreement.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
