We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lifemark in Corner Brook. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical and psycho-social recovery of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess clients' physical and cognitive functioning within the clinic setting, conducting assessments such as job demands analyses, functional capacity evaluations, and cognitive abilities evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning, educating clients on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities.
- Support return-to-work programs, including job coaching and accommodation recommendations.
- Utilize e-charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Participate in case conferences and case management, collaborating with the inter-professional team at your clinic.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy students (as preferred) and network with stakeholders to promote Lifemark OT programs.
- Manage a diverse and stable caseload with the flexibility to integrate pre-existing clients.
- Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
- Previous experience treating clients with physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development and FCE Trained.
- Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WCB referrals is an asset.
- Experience supporting occupational rehabilitation is a strong asset.
