Job Title: Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Shangri-La Food Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and improve daily operations to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices to align with the restaurant budget
  • Monitor and manage staff performance, providing coaching and training as needed
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and inventory management
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent customer service and food quality
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities, and participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Address customer complaints or concerns, and provide excellent customer service
  • Manage events, including planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a restaurant management role
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • MS Office and point of sale system skills
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
