About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Design Organization (EDO) in Southern Ontario. As a key member of our Electrical Group, you will play a critical role in supporting our US markets and driving innovation in electrical design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead proposal requests, develop design and construction fees, and write reports
  • Complete condition assessments for various facilities, including report writing and client meetings
  • Prepare detailed design drawing packages for projects of varying scale, including utility interconnection, substation design, electrical system protection and coordination, and more
  • Complete and review electrical design calculations
  • Prepare contract documentation, including equipment specifications, cable/conduit schedules, and installation specifications
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and other disciplines throughout design and construction phases of projects
  • Support during tendering and construction, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings
  • Mentor junior staff and coordinate electrical system designs with other engineering disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian electrical codes and standards, relevant industry standards, and regulations
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of experience in electrical design and implementation, including MV and LV electrical systems
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or Professional Engineer (PE) license considered an asset
  • Good working knowledge of NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (NEC), and Canadian electrical codes and standards
