Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate to join our team at Grainger Businesses. As an Order Picker, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Accuracy: Safely and accurately complete warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, sorting, labeling, putaway, replenishing, auditing, picking, and packing products using industrial machines.
  • Order Fulfillment: Operate wrist-worn or hand-held scanning equipment to accurately fulfill customer orders for shipping.
  • Exception Resolution: Resolve exceptions in order fulfillment due to stock discrepancies, order processing errors, damaged products, carrier changes, etc.
  • Equipment Operation: Follow lock out and tag out procedures for powered industrial equipment.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and hazardous material requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively and assist other teams to meet safety, quality, productivity, behavior, attendance, and overtime requirements.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as directed by leadership, including all functions of a DCA I and DCA II.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years of work experience in a fast-paced and physically active job.
  • Industrial Machines: Experience with industrial machines, specifically order picker.
  • Language Skills: Ability to speak and understand written and spoken English.
  • Physical Demands: Comfort working on your feet with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust while working on or around moving equipment and elevated stations. Frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder heights.
  • Background Check: Pass a pre-employment background check.
