Agile Transformation Specialist

The Genesys IT Strategic Management Office (IT SMO) team is in search of a seasoned Agile Transformation Specialist who possesses both technical and business insight, capable of collaborating on the next generation of products for Genesys' internal and external clientele. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enhancing existing agile teams and transitioning teams from traditional waterfall methodologies to agile frameworks (including Kanban and Scrum). Furthermore, the candidate should have a proven track record in effectively managing multiple Scrum teams and training product owners and stakeholder groups.
This position involves coaching and guiding teams through an Agile transformation, helping all participants grasp the fundamental principles of Agile, adopting Scrum, Kanban, and agile scaling best practices, and continuously refining the agile practices of the teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and support established Agile teams, leveraging advanced knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile methodologies.
- Evaluate current team practices and maturity levels using metrics and performance indicators, providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
- Design and deliver customized training programs to support Agile roles and responsibilities throughout the organization.
- Engage with senior executives to cultivate an understanding and enthusiasm for Agile methodologies.
- Facilitate the alignment of Agile practices across various teams and departments.
- Assist teams in refining their processes and practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by integrating the latest Agile tools and best practices into team workflows.
- Provide strategic leadership in scaling Agile practices through frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or DaD.
- Address impediments and streamline workflows to enhance team performance.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and regular feedback loops to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Atlassian products, particularly JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience collaborating with IT teams developing Salesforce, Workday, ERP, NetSuite, and other packaged solutions is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in areas of influence, cross-group collaboration, and a focus on positive outcomes.
- Must be a self-starter, organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Over 8 years of experience in delivering Agile software solutions as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or similar role.
- KMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe SSM, or equivalent certifications preferred.
