Job Title: Metal Structure Welder

As a vital member of our team at Constructions Proco Inc., the Metal Structure Welder is responsible for executing a variety of welding operations under the guidance of team leaders:

  • Weld all assembled and pre-assembled components across various workshops, utilizing different welding techniques and processes.
  • Utilize cutting torches and drills at the workstation for precise fabrication.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and visual inspections of welds to ensure quality standards.
  • Perform preheating tasks in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide assistance to assemblers as directed by supervisors.
  • Operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
  • Strictly adhere to quality assurance protocols.
  • Follow health and safety regulations diligently.

This position involves rotating shifts between day and evening schedules (1 week on each shift), with an evening shift bonus available.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completion of a Vocational Diploma in Welding Assembly.
  • Proficiency in welding across all positions.
  • Familiarity with welding symbols and procedures.
  • Experience with semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Skills in cleaning and visually inspecting welds.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes.
  • Commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • CWB certification is considered an asset.

Compensation: Starting salary of $19.80/hour, based on collective agreements and individual experience.
