Job Summary

Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Yard Clerk to join our team. As a Yard Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, receiving and processing merchandise, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide information and assistance to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Receive and process merchandise in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Operate and maintain equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Deliver product as directed by the manager.
  • Assist in lumber and hardware areas of the store as needed.

Requirements

  • Have a positive and professional approach and attitude.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts.
  • Pleasant and out-going personality.
  • Desire and ability to work with the public.
  • Physically able to do heavy lifting, climbing, and kneeling.
  • Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Forklift certification would be an asset.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment testing as per Southland's Alcohol & Substance Policy.
