Position SummaryAs a Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector, you will promote public safety through the periodic inspection and certification of boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure piping. You will perform conventional and nuclear shop inspections for the manufacturing of boilers and pressure vessels, conduct welder and brazer tests, and monitor repairs and alterations. Strong communication skills are essential to develop progressive relationships with internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities- Promote public safety through the periodic inspection and certification of boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure piping
- Perform conventional and nuclear shop inspections for the manufacturing of boilers and pressure vessels
- Conduct welder and brazer tests and monitor repairs and alterations
- Develop progressive relationships with internal and external customers
To be successful in this role, you will need to be qualified to write the Ontario Certificate of Competency and obtain the National Board Commission and 'A' and 'N' Endorsements. Five years' experience in the BPV industry, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of related CSA and ASME BPV codes, the Technical Standards and Safety Act, and BPV Regulations, is essential. A valid Ontario driver's license is also required.
