Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including inspections, diagnoses, and repairs using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop machines.
  • Upgrade areas with new equipment and technology to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with outside contractors on special projects as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair, or formal technical training.
  • 2+ years of diversified welding experience.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and fabricate from drawings.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
