Job Description

As a key member of the Administration portuaire de Québec team, the Programmer Analyst - Application Developer will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing applications using the Oracle database and Forms / Reports tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with stakeholders to define requirements and gather business needs;
  • Perform preliminary and functional analysis to identify solutions;
  • Design and implement technical solutions, including programming and testing;
  • Integrate developed applications with existing systems and infrastructure;
  • Document developed systems and provide user training;
  • Maintain existing programs and ensure they meet business needs;
  • Convert Forms applications to Apex as required;
  • Provide technical support to users and stakeholders;
  • Perform other related tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle database and Forms / Reports tools, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will also be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Good writing and communication skills;
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
  • A logical and practical sense of organization;
  • Experience with Apex tools and knowledge of DBA basics and Microsoft development tools;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
