Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Truck Dispatcher to oversee and manage our fleet operations at Bulk Carriers (P.E.I.) Limited. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics and dispatching, ensuring efficient transportation and delivery of goods.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to vehicle operators regarding traffic and operational challenges.
  • Organize and assign personnel based on schedules and operational requirements.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations requiring immediate dispatch of personnel.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and best practices.
  • Handle urgent communications from individuals in critical situations requiring assistance.
  • Coordinate activities and schedule assignments for vehicle operators and crews.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee a team of approximately 11-15 personnel.

Technical Skills
  • Proficient in dispatch management software.
  • Familiarity with database software.
  • Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools.
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and tight deadlines.
