We are seeking a highly motivated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Little Kingdom Childcare Inc. as a Child Development Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of children and support their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Key Responsibilities- Child Development Planning: Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to support their growth and progress.
- Childcare Support: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote children's development, including bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers.
- Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain daycare equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children in activities through storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
- Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
- Staff Meetings: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.
- Behavioral Guidelines: Establish guidelines for behavior to promote a positive and respectful environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a childcare setting.
- Language: English language proficiency.
