About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Ville de Saguenay. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting our business leaders and employees in achieving our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with various stakeholders, including business leaders, employees, and union representatives.
  • Manage internal staffing, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Provide expert advice on the interpretation and application of collective agreements and HR policies.
  • Participate in various HR-related activities, such as disciplinary investigations, grievances, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Offer guidance and support on HR-related matters, including employee relations, discipline, grievances, and labor laws.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Be a member of the Ordre des CRHA/CRIA (an asset).
  • Have experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist (an asset).
  • Have experience working in a unionized environment (an asset).
Desirable Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player with a high level of autonomy.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Recognized for their expertise, rigor, and professionalism.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $75,194 and $98,939 per year. The conditions of employment, including compensation, are subject to the Ville de Saguenay's administrative personnel policy.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 35-hour workweek. We offer a flexible schedule and remote work options.
