Job Description

As the Manager, Agile Practice Chapter, you will lead the Agile Excellence Domain team within Sun Life, driving the delivery of high-quality projects and services. Reporting to the Director, Agile Practice/Project Management Chapter, you will be responsible for creating a collaborative and innovative work environment that fosters growth and development among team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a high-performing team environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and execute a talent strategy that enables career progression and mobility for Scrum Master practitioners.
  • Manage the hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, growth, and development of team members.
  • Provide input into and champion change to help evolve the chapter to meet current and future needs.
  • Establish the direction of professional development for chapter members and ensure they have the necessary tools, coaching, and support services to succeed.
  • Keep informed on market trends, business strategy, and continuously develop your own expertise and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in project management, Agile/Scrum, and/or delivery.
  • PMP, Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), or Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) ideal.
  • Delivery or software development background a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in agile delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management.
  • Bias for action, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience creating an environment of learning and continuously improving skills, development team skills, and your chapter.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, team building, and organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to bring forward opinions/ideas and to inspire others.
