About the Role

Vancity Excavating Ltd. is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in various industrial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size, using hand and power tools.
  • Test systems for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment, and clean and maintain pipe units and fittings.
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems, and estimate costs and materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Valid driver's licence and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.
