About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Underground Labourer to join our team at MC-Bauchemie Canada Inc. as a Construction Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work on various infrastructure development projects, including hydroelectric dams, industrial, commercial, and institutional construction, roads and bridges, underground and tunnel work, and poured concrete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure site safety and efficiency
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and instruct apprentices
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Perform routine maintenance work and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Adjust equipment, valves, pumps, and controls and process equipment
  • Assist in the development of chemical engineering processes, studies of chemical engineering procurement, construction, inspection, and maintenance
Requirements
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Working at heights training
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires working under pressure with tight deadlines. The successful candidate will have manual dexterity and attention to detail, with the ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs). The role requires the use of steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and safety vest.
