Nurse Practitioner

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join the Thoracic team. As a key member of the clinical team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with thoracic conditions, working closely with hospitalists and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including diagnosing diseases and disorders, and developing treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and provide therapeutic interventions in accordance with regulatory standards and employer policies.
- Collaborate with clients and other healthcare professionals to identify trends and patterns that impact patient care.
- Develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health outcomes and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Participate in peer review and self-assessment to evaluate the effectiveness of services.
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) plus 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) required.
- Ability to apply knowledge of developmental stages, behavioral sciences, pathophysiology, and evidence-based practice to clinical diagnosis and patient management.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with patients and families about health findings, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.
