About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Management Specialist to join our team at the Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Contract Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of contracts and vendors across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support contract and vendor management efforts, following government procurement policies and processes.
  • Provide advice and consultation on procurement-related matters, including financial management and modeling, cost recoveries, service design, value realization, and contract management.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders and staff, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Assess and interpret large amounts of data, providing verbal or written documentation on results and recommendations.
  • Work effectively within a team environment and independently, with a strong focus on collaboration and facilitation.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of related experience working with procurement procedures, policies, and guidelines, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You will also possess strong collaboration and facilitation skills, superior communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Assets

  • ITIL Certification.
  • PSPP (Public Sector Procurement Program) Diploma.
