We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Jon Smith Subs - Sherwood Park. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities:- Determine food portion sizes and costs to maintain profitability.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet customer demand.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet quality standards.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
- Order supplies and equipment to maintain inventory levels.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory.
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
