Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operator II to join our team at Cenergy International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant units and sulfur recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the Control Room Technician and other Operations Technicians to ensure understanding of job safety requirements and work objectives.
  • Support the CRT/Ops Supervisor in providing oversight of area activities and ensuring they are integrated and conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work in a crew environment to manage activities involved with safe and efficient operation of all plant units and sulfur recovery operations.
  • Perform surveillance of equipment and participate in the review of work packages for planned maintenance activities.
  • Endorse Work Permits as the Area Operator (AO) and Isolating Authority (IA) when required.
  • Encourage team effort between Maintenance and Operations groups and support work prioritization to maximize effectiveness.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in allocated Area and ensure good communication between Areas.
  • Perform physical tasks such as moving drums of chemicals, lifting, and climbing ladders/silos/tanks.
  • May perform minor maintenance to equipment and make process changes to ensure quality control of end products.
Requirements
  • Industry experience in operations or similar required.
  • In-depth knowledge in production operations/processes, P&IDs, PFDs, and UFDs.
  • Able to read shutdown logic diagrams and have a high standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude.
  • Excellent communications (oral & written) in English and interpersonal and motivation skills.
  • Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment and advanced understanding of Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record required.
