Job Title: Dispatcher - Transport Coordinator

Location: Transport Industry

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:30am to 7:30pm

We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team in the Transport Industry. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of freight to customer locations.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the pickup and delivery of freight to customer locations
  • Ensure timely and efficient dispatch to maintain high service standards
  • Plan and execute line haul movements both outbound and inbound
  • Maintain discipline with contractors and agents
  • Communicate with drivers at defined intervals to manage service expectations and identify problems
  • Track and trace intermodal units via CP rail and CN rail portals
  • Resolve and respond to calls from customers and the customer service group
  • Monitor assets to ensure equipment utilization
  • Work with the operations team in a respectful manner
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-year work experience in a related field in Dispatching
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, French is an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of dispatch software Truckmate is a plus
  • Customer Service oriented and personable
  • Organized and reliable
