Payroll Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team at the Greater Essex County District School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the payroll process for all employee groups, ensuring timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll in a large multi-union environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the payroll process, including preparation and submission of payroll-related reports to external agencies.
- Supervise payroll staff and provide expertise and customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform month-end reconciliations for payroll-related accounts and develop reports for accounting supervisors.
- Serve as a liaison with Human Resources and external auditors on payroll-related matters.
- Perform payroll research assignments and other duties as assigned.
- Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent, with a preference for accounting.
- Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation or ability to obtain within three years.
- Successful supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
