  • Create comprehensive work packages that distinctly outline task conditions, constraints, hazard controls, permits, labor, equipment, materials, specialized tools, services, testing, handover procedures, durations, sequencing, and timing.
  • Contribute to shutdown project work packages, ensuring accurate identification of shutdown scope and coordinating critical shutdown schedule milestones.
  • Maintain a robust fixed plant maintenance backlog with two (2) to four (4) weeks of ready-to-schedule jobs.
  • Document maintenance activities and ensure that data from completed work packages is accurately recorded using the company's CMMS (Oracle eAM) to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Address any related planning challenges, including operational requirements, parts availability, equipment deficiencies, inadequate work procedures, and data integrity.
  • Revise preventive maintenance requirements based on feedback from supervisors and teams, as well as data from completed work orders.
  • Explore opportunities to enhance work package requirements and reduce costs without compromising safety or quality.
  • Conduct site inspections and safe work observations; lead investigations as necessary.
  • Facilitate fixed plant maintenance planning meetings to review and prioritize preventive maintenance, corrective actions, shutdowns, and project work orders for planning.

Area 2:

Operational Excellence.

  • Adhere to established IAMGOLD asset management processes and quality standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Propose innovative approaches, methods, or policies to optimize performance and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.

  • Assist in the development and revision of policies and procedures for the mill planning and scheduling department.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and improvement to enhance skills as a Senior Planner.
  • Collaborate effectively to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Evaluate risks across five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability, and cost).
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs against the maintenance plan and report any non-conformances related to targets.
  • Understand and recalibrate non-conformances to the plan and KPI targets, developing corrective actions to achieve long-term objectives.
  • Participate in the budgeting process using system data with a zero-based approach.
  • Prepare forecasts for future maintenance activities on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Ensure that equipment maintenance records and bills of materials are current and accurate.

Area 3:

Collaborative Work.

  • Coordinate with reliability personnel to develop maintenance strategies for critical equipment.
  • Communicate with technical departments to minimize production and maintenance delays.
  • Provide and support communication links between production, maintenance, technical services, and operations personnel.
  • Understand production schedules and mill maintenance activities, collaborating closely with other supervisors, engineers, and maintenance staff in preparing and coordinating maintenance tasks.
  • Support the negotiation of various services and maintenance contracts.
  • Collaborate and share insights with supervisors, mechanics, and other maintenance team members.
  • Engage with maintenance trades, engineers, and supervisors to ensure timely feedback is communicated and acted upon.
  • Facilitate outsourced maintenance repair requests with field employees and management.
  • Participate in weekly multi-disciplinary scheduling meetings.
  • Communicate and coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure efficient collaboration and timely delivery of materials.
  • During construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases, assist in implementing the maintenance system.
  • Communicate effectively using the tools provided.
  • Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow-up.
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary teams to fulfill commitments to our team, communities, environment, and shareholders.
