Experienced Concrete Mixer Operator

Position Overview
Park Ready-Mix, a division of Park Paving Ltd., is a reputable and locally owned seasonal supplier of ready-mix concrete, catering to the Edmonton area and its surroundings. We are currently seeking a qualified CONCRETE MIXER OPERATOR to become a vital part of our team for the upcoming construction season.
This role is a full-time seasonal opportunity that provides a competitive salary along with benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a concrete delivery vehicle to transport concrete to various construction sites within the Edmonton region.
- Conduct Pre and Post Trip inspections and complete all Daily Equipment Checklists, addressing any equipment issues with your supervisor.
- Perform routine maintenance on the vehicle to ensure safe operation, including checking oil levels, monitoring filters, and greasing mixer components as necessary.
- Accurately complete all required daily documentation and submit it at the end of your shift.
- When not engaged in driving duties, assist with maintenance and labor tasks related to the operations of the plant and yard.
- Uphold cleanliness standards for both the mixer and the cab, ensuring they meet company expectations.
- Ability to lift weights up to 25 kg (50 lbs).
- Follow directions from dispatch and senior personnel effectively.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
Successful candidates will hold a valid class 3 or 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record and excel in a fast-paced, safety-oriented environment. A solid understanding of concrete mixer operations is essential for the effective maintenance and operation of our equipment.
All applicants must present a driving record free of major infractions and pass a pre-employment health assessment, which may include a driving test.
Compensation: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
