About the Role:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a skilled Red Seal Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Edmonton, AB, working on a project with several properties across the Edmonton area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems. The role requires a strong commitment to personal and team safety, as well as the ability to work after hours and on weekends as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
  • Replace toilets, bathroom and kitchen sinks, and bathtubs
  • Utilize power auger for toilet, bathtub, and main lines
  • Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed schedule
  • Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects
  • Replace hot water tanks and furnaces (, &, BTU)
  • Occasionally install tiles around bathtubs or sinks
  • Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
  • Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes, as well as environmental protection requirements

Requirements:

  • Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal with a minimum of years' experience is required
  • Class B Gas Fitter License is required
  • Class license and clean drivers abstract is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to read drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial
