Position Overview
Your Role
The Regional Sales Manager - Cortex is pivotal in driving revenue and growth for the company. As a seasoned and proactive sales leader, you will spearhead sales initiatives specifically for the Cortex product line. Your motivation stems from the desire to address critical challenges in our customers' secure environments, ensuring they receive tailored solutions for every phase of threat prevention.
You will be accountable for achieving and surpassing your sales targets by devising and executing strategic territory plans aimed at deploying the Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Security Platform. This role presents a unique opportunity for a results-oriented individual to capture business and increase market share by effectively displacing competing technologies.
Your Contributions
- As a Regional Sales Manager (serving both public and private sector accounts), you will lead and manage intricate sales cycles, collaborating with internal partners and teams to optimally serve the customer.
- Utilize your experience and consultative selling skills to establish enduring relationships with potential clients and executive stakeholders.
- Focus on developing and executing strategic account plans aimed at achieving enterprise-wide deployments.
- Understand the competitive landscape and customer requirements to effectively position Palo Alto Networks.
- Employ a systematic approach to demand generation, developing and expanding your territory.
- Leverage success stories to create a compelling value proposition tailored to specific accounts.
- Stay informed on industry developments and trends, and their implications for Palo Alto Networks products and services.
- Travel as required within your territory and to company-wide meetings.
Qualifications
Your Background
- Familiarity with SaaS-based architectures, particularly in networking and/or security contexts; knowledge of SASE technology is advantageous.
- Proven ability to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners to implement a channel-centric go-to-market strategy for our clients.
- Capable of leading all facets of the sales cycle, including identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing new territories and accounts.
- In-depth understanding of Federal government procurement processes and various market entry paths.
- Demonstrated success in selling complex solutions.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and self-direct.
- Highly competitive, quick to adapt, and committed to exceeding performance goals.
- Active security clearance is required.

Compensation Information
The compensation for this role will be based on qualifications, experience, and location. For candidates receiving an offer at the specified level, the expected starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary plus commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) ranges from $251,900 to $346,400 annually. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A summary of our employee benefits is available.
