Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Power Line Technician Foreman/Woman to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our transmission line maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power grid.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of power line technicians to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of work activities.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Provide training and guidance to power line technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Apprenticeship training in power line construction and maintenance.
  • Pre-apprenticeship training and level one apprenticeship training in power line construction and maintenance.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Health benefits, including dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, and vision care benefits.
  • Paid time off (volunteering or personal days).
  • Temporary employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
