Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Postdoctoral Research Fellow to investigate aspects of physical function and mobility among older adults in Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in fields such as rehabilitation science, epidemiology, or biostatistics, and will be enthusiastic about contributing to innovative research.
Department Details
This position is available within the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at McMaster University, a hub for cutting-edge research in aging and rehabilitation.
Research Focus
The successful applicant will engage with the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) and the McMaster Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA), providing a unique opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in the field.
Fellowship Terms
This is a full-time, one-year fellowship with a competitive annual salary and benefits. The position is designed for candidates who have completed their PhD within the last five years and possess strong research capabilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident at the time of application.
- PhD completion within the last five years is essential, along with a robust research background.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, SPSS) and experience in manuscript preparation are required.
- Familiarity with physical mobility and function is advantageous.
- Experience in multivariate and longitudinal analysis will be considered a plus.
- Applicants currently in a doctoral program must provide evidence of eligibility for completion of their degree prior to starting the fellowship.
