Preschool Program Instructor

Job Summary:

The District of Saanich is seeking qualified individuals to fill casual Preschool Instructor positions at Saanich Commonwealth Place. As a Preschool Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to children aged 3-5 years old and/or Parent and Tot Programs, including Kindergym.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and content for Preschool Programs
  • Provide direct instruction, leadership, and program management to ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations
  • Prepare the room and equipment necessary for instruction prior to the start of the session and store it safely following the end of the class

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 10
  • 3 months of experience working with preschool-age children
  • Related certification or training in the area of instruction of no less than three months
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR-C certification
  • Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check
