Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Ottawa home care (Nursing Agency).

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in their homes, hospitals, and other healthcare settings. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare professionals
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
  • Transport patients to appointments and activities
  • Administer first aid and provide basic life support
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
