About the Role

Aversan is seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Hardware Engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electronic hardware systems in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lab Testing and Characterization: Conduct thorough lab tests to characterize components and generate detailed reports.
  • FPGA Design and Verification: Design and verify FPGAs using Verilog/VHDL, with a focus on optimizing code to minimize resources.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve FPGA issues on the hardware platform.
  • Micro-Architecture and Design: Invent, document, and implement micro-architecture and design details for new product features.
  • Physical Implementation: Implement FPGA targets for emulation, ensuring timing closure and debug.
  • System Integration: Integrate processor-based SOC (Target ASIC or FPGA) and ensure seamless functionality.
Requirements
  • Hardware Integration Experience: Proven experience with hardware-based integration and test of ASIC/FPGA designs.
  • Hardware Verification Languages: Proficiency with System Verilog, System Verilog Assertions, and other hardware verification languages.
  • Test Planning and Development: Ability to create test plans and self-checking and reusable testbenches from scratch.
  • Revision Control Systems: Experience with svn, cvs, git, and other revision control systems.
  • FPGA Tools and Software: Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA tools (Vivado, Vitis, HLS), embedded software development, and FPGA logic design (VHDL/Verilog).
  • Networking and Data Interfaces: Familiarity with Ethernet networking, data interfaces, and Xilinx architecture/platforms.
