Economic Policy Analyst

Position Title: Economic Policy Analyst

Reports to: Director of Economic Policy & Sustainability

Location: Remote

ACI World is engaged in various economic policy initiatives within the aviation sector, representing airports globally at key international forums. Our mission includes supporting airports in achieving economic viability and developing comprehensive guidelines beneficial to the airport industry. We are seeking an Economic Policy Analyst to enhance our influence on global economic policies and the advantages they provide to airports.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in crafting reports, presentations, and policy documents to advocate for the economic and financial interests of airports worldwide.
  2. Support ACI's participation in international panels by aiding in the preparation of working papers and developing analytical tools and presentations.
  3. Contribute to the creation of advocacy materials for ACI members, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  4. Help draft regulatory submissions to support airport members in collaboration with regional offices.
  5. Conduct desktop research and economic evaluations of financial reports from aviation industry stakeholders.
  6. Ensure effective coordination with the Data Analytics Team to maintain a timely flow of relevant economic data.
  7. Assist in managing activities related to the ACI World Economics Standing Committee (WESC) and other working groups.
  8. Support secretariat functions for the WESC sub-committee focused on Airport Non-Aeronautical Revenues and Activities (ANARA).
  9. Help prepare agendas and minutes for conferences, forums, and working group meetings.
  10. Facilitate collaboration with other ACI departments, including Data Analytics, Sustainability, Service Quality, and Security.
  11. Engage with international organizations, airport operators, and private entities to exchange information and best practices.
  12. Participate in relevant working groups as directed by the Director of Economic Policy.
  13. Contribute to the ACI Airport Economics Report under the guidance of the Director.
  14. Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Economic Policy.
Qualifications:
  1. 1 to 3 years of experience in economic analysis, ideally within the aviation or airport sector.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Aviation Management, or a related discipline.
  3. Strong analytical and research capabilities, with effective data management skills.
  4. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with diverse stakeholders.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software.
