As the Building Official Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Building Inspections unit. This includes managing a team of inspectors, coordinating inspections, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. About the Position As a senior leader in our organization, you'll be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to inspectors, as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery. Duties & Responsibilities - Manage and lead a team of inspectors to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations - Coordinate inspections and ensure timely completion of work - Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery - Provide technical guidance and support to inspectors - Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery Requirements - Three (3) year College Diploma in Engineering or Architecture, or equivalent - Five (5) years' experience in a supervisory role, or seven (7) years' experience as a Certified Building Code Official - Certified Building Code Official, as granted by the Ontario Building Officials Association - Successful completion of the mandatory qualification and registration criteria as prescribed by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in all categories of buildings with registration as a Supervisor What you need to Succeed...
