Job Summary

The Assistant Department Manager, Cosmetics, is a developmental position that provides an opportunity to learn and grow within the company. This role is designed to prepare individuals for the responsibilities of the Department Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Department Manager in directing staff to maintain merchandising, customer service, and operational standards within the department.
  • Support the Department Manager in managing day-to-day operations, including staff supervision and performance management.
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising displays and product presentations to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to drive business results and achieve company objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of management experience in a retail environment, preferably in the cosmetics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cosmetic products, including ingredients, benefits, and applications.
  • Excellent merchandising and visual display skills, with the ability to create engaging and effective displays.
  • Proven ability to build business and drive sales growth, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
