Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers in the development and implementation of Lean Manufacturing best practices
  • Define and standardize manufacturing processes across our production sites in Canada and France
  • Develop and execute strategies to support new product development and technology integration in production
  • Ensure the performance of our automated production environment through preventative maintenance and process optimization
  • Manage projects related to electronic boards testing software and equipment development
  • Implement efficient test sequences development programs to support quality and productivity requirements
  • Determine and deploy process optimization programs to improve quality, cost, or productivity
  • Act as a liaison and business partner to our production and product development teams
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our DFMEA and PFMEA practices
  • Implement relevant key performance indicators and define targets for operational efficiency
  • Research and suggest new technologies for manufacturing engineering to support future product launches and growth strategies
  • Evaluate and develop next-generation production concepts
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key suppliers to improve quality, costs, or productivity
  • Align team efforts with our corporate strategy and promote our operational excellence system based on Lean Manufacturing
  • Manage and track department budget

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, automated production engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment, with 5 years in a management position
  • Experience with test automation software (NI Teststand)
  • Knowledge of electronic boards assembly methods (SMT, TH, suppliers, etc.)
  • Working experience in production equipment solutions design and implementation
  • Bilingual French and English, with advanced knowledge in Lean Manufacturing
  • Assets: knowledge in HVAC and Building Management Systems, knowledge of protocols such as Lonworks and/or BACnet

International Travel: Required a few times per year
